Here’s what’s going on: Absurdity.
Normally this type of thing would be work related and I’d post it on one of my professional websites. But this was too good to pass up because it relates to so many other things I and many others experience everyday.
Have you heard about AI (Artificial Intelligence)? It’s the favorite thing of journalists to babble about these days. Should you be worried? Yes. But not for the reasons you might think.
In short, if AI works at the same level as the rest of all the software on the planet, it won’t be reliable, trustworthy, or useful. In movie parlance, if Terminators became real, they’d hold their gun backwards, pull the trigger, and exterminate themselves.
…yes, it can always be worse.
